FTP Manager
Learn what an FTP Manager is actually and why it’s beneficial to have one when setting up a site.
You can use separate FTP accounts to manage your web content if you’ve got several websites in the same web hosting account. You can provide different persons with access only to given directories, for example – web designers or IT professionals from the company, and be sure that they will not be able to connect to any other files or anything else within the website hosting account, since the FTP accounts have restricted access. You can also set up and administer a number of different websites at once using a web design app such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver (as these applications use FTP to access the server) and publish the site files both when you create them and when you update them. An essential part of accomplishing these things is the possibility to create and administer your FTP accounts swiftly and easily.

FTP Manager in Shared Web Hosting
When you you open a
shared web hosting account with us, you will be granted access to the pretty powerful FTP Manager tool, that’s an integral part of our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The tool includes several different options, apart from the ability to create or remove FTP accounts. You’ll be able to see the access path for each account and by clicking on it, you can alter it so that the account in question will access a different folder. Auto-configuration files are available for download too, so you won’t need to set up anything manually – you can just download the specific file for CyberDuck, Core FTP or FileZilla and run it on your computer. To make the management itself simpler, the FTP Manager will allow you to see all the FTP accounts that you have set up in alphabetical order, based on either the username or the access path.
