This can be done from the Upgrades section in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to use Node.js in no more than a couple of minutes after you add this upgrade to your account. You will be able to choose the number of instances that you wish to add to your account – one instance means one application using Node.js. In the new section that will appear in the Control Panel, you can type the path to the .js file in your hosting account and choose whether the file in question will be reachable via the server’s shared IP or via a dedicated IP. Our platform will also allocate a port for the connection. You will be able to deactivate or to restart each instance independently, in case it is necessary.
Node.js in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to use Node.js for any real-time script-based software app hosted in a semi-dedicated server account, since the Node.js platform comes bundled with all our semi-dedicated packages and you can set it up with just a couple of clicks. In case you wish to use it for several web sites, you can enable more instances through the Hepsia Control Panel’s Upgrades section. The configuration is as simple as adding the folder path to your .js file and selecting whether Node.js should use a dedicated IP address or any of the physical server’s shared IPs, so you can make the most of Node.js even if you’ve got no previous experience with a similar software platform. Our system will also select a randomly generated port number which will be used to access the .js file associated with the given app. Hepsia has a simple-to-navigate graphical interface that will permit you to reboot and to deactivate any of your running instances, to activate new ones or to check the output of your apps with just one single click.
Node.js in VPS Servers
All VPS servers that are ordered with our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel include Node.js by default and you can take advantage of the event-driven platform for each web-based app that you run on the VPS. As we haven’t imposed any restriction on the number of instances that you can set up, you can take advantage of the power of our Virtual Private Servers and mix it with the full capacity of the Node.js platform. The configuration is done through the Hepsia Control Panel’s user-friendly, point & click GUI, so even if you are not tech-savvy, you will not have any problems while using the platform. You’ll just need to enter the directory path in the account to the .js file that will use Node.js and to choose if it will use a shared or a dedicated IP. Furthermore, our system will also set a port number to access this file and you’ll be able to see it in the respective Control Panel section. With only a click, you can check your apps’ output and to remove or to restart any Node.js instance hosted on the VPS.
Node.js in Dedicated Servers
Node.js is available with all Linux dedicated servers on which our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is installed. The latter has a rather intuitive and easy-to-navigate graphical interface, so even if you have not used the Node.js platform before, you can unveil its full potential in just a few simple steps. Once you have uploaded the application’s content, you’ll need to insert the folder path to the specific .js files that will use Node.js and to select the IP which they’ll use (dedicated or shared), while our system will choose a random port that will be used to access the files in question. There isn’t any constraint as to the total number of instances that you can create and run at the same time and you’ll exert complete command over them via the Hepsia Control Panel – you will be able to order new ones or to deactivate/reboot existing ones, to check the output log for each application, etc.
